Wægen appreciates tumblr as a place for freedom of expression. Wægen is not a teenage girl. Wægen is not looking for a date or anything of the sort (sometimes people are nice to everyone and it doesn't mean they are hitting you up for a relationship). Cats on the weekend and some holidays - no particular theme otherwise.

How do people say “I’m not a racist, but…” and take themselves seriously.
they think racism is only if they do something very horrible to a specific person because of race and don’t know what power structures or stereotypes mean
because they are certain that their privilege was earned through merit, and they cannot comprehend that it came standard with their skin
because they learned that privilege can be taken away, but they cannot comprehend that this is drastically different from being forced to “earn” it in every new environment
because we live in a world that condones the active invalidation of fellow human beings; that treats validation, respect, humane treatment, as commodities to be rationed carefully
because civilization persists in judging human beings to be valid or invalid, worthy or unworthy of the title, human, on the basis of a woefully outdated system of “symbols,” and persists in giving these symbols greater importance than even the human beings behind the supposed symbols
because we will destroy all of existence before we will relinquish the concept of “other”
because many people will conclude that I went too far, and that this is an indictment of humanity, rather than an indictment of the demonstrably failed concepts to which we are addicted
